Joe Johnson, the first known Aboriginal in the VFL /AFL, played for the Roys from 1904 to 1906.
I went up to Ararat to watch a game a couple of weekends back and heard two blokes chatting away about an old league called the Victorian District Football League. I overheard them and asked them what league this was, and for about a good 2 hrs or so they chatted away to me about this league, with others who overheard it getting in on it and seeming to recognize this league.
Hi all,
I am 21-years-old and I am planning to organize a new football record that covers all the major leagues of victoria. I hope to print and distribute this record to various leagues - and to make some profit. The idea is only very premature, but was wondering if anyone was willing to support me and be a joint-venture - as I need resources and people with comprehensive knowledge and good links. I hope that the record will kick off next year, and it will include history, latest scores,...
