East Suburban - merged with Caulfield Oakleigh to form the SESFL
Metropolitan/Northern Metropolitan - folded after 1979
Melbourne North - formed 1988? and folded after 1994
Methodist - folded after 1955
RSL - folded after 1950

There were some clubs in the old Sunday leagues in Melbourne in the 1950's and 1960's and I have NO idea where they were based! The clubs were;

Southern Stars
Happy Valley
College Lawn
Sheffield Colts
Rings Rovers

The first two were part of the MASFA in 1967 and the other three were part of the Sunday Suburban FL in 1961.

Some examples:

Chelsea Heights play in the Southern FL while 100metres down the road Chelsea play in Mornington Penisula FL.
Also, Dveton Eagles play in the southern while Doveton play in the MPNFL. Numerous other examples exist between the SFL, MPNFL, EFL and VAFA.
