So in 1995 we had Ararat in the WFL, and Prestige, Trinity, Caledonians, Miners and Saint Marys all playing in the Ararat DFA. That's 6 clubs out of Ararat.

Now there's two : Ararat and Ararat Eagles.

I see the point, and must admit there's an excitement level in each, but I'm still against it. Maybe its just the country boy in me and the ensuant aversion to change.

But this 9-pointer rule. Imagine if someone takes a mark at 50 or 55 ... are we going to see the death of the bloke who runs into the 'hole', or the short, quick lead from the full-forward that allows a closer shot, or one from a better angle?
